Mary W. Boyer is a Principal of Boyer Management Group, Inc., providing Human Resources expertise to companies of all sizes. With over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field, Mary serves client companies in the areas of policy development and implementation, and compensation design and benefits administration. Sexual harassment training and complaint investigation, employee handbook development, employee satisfaction surveys, and interim or part-time H.R. Director services, are among Mary's most sought-after services. Mary has a broad knowledge of employment law and years of practical hands-on experience and sensitivity to both the specific needs of a business and to the human element of dealing with individual employees.

With a Bachelor's degree in Education, Mary began her career in "Personnel" with Knoll International, Inc., a furniture manufacturer in Montgomery County, PA. She later joined Gas Spring Corporation (now Stabilus), a Colmer, PA manufacturer of gas-operating lifting devices. These two positions laid the foundation for her strong human resources generalist background in policy, recruitment, compensation, benefits, affirmative action compliance, and employee relations.

Mary then joined John Wanamaker as Human Resources Manager in the retailer's Lehigh Valley store. There, with HR oversight for the 300+ employees at that location, Mary implemented corporate policies and practices, handled store recruitment, employee relations and performance issues, and oversaw the training function.

Following a period of stay-at-home-mom status, Mary joined Mid-Atlantic Employers' Association's team of outsourcing professionals. She provided employee policy and handbook development, position descriptions, evaluation and compensation design for the Association's member companies. As management and employees found Mary to be personable, competent and results-oriented, they frequently referred other companies to her to provide additional services. This allowed Mary to begin M. W. Boyer, H. R. Consulting, in 1992. As a Consultant, Mary has served over 20 clients, both on a project basis and as Acting H. R. Interim or Part-time H. R. Director.

Mary has held membership in and professional certification from the Society of Human Resources Management since 1995.
